WAGS and Football - you can't get away from it.

With World Cup fever getting stronger and stronger, the Guildhall's shops are really getting in the team spirit. We have a large JJB Sports and a JD Sports in the Centre and the stores are festooned with flags, balloons and banners.

We are just starting to promote our main fashion event of the year which is also linked in to the excitement of the World Cup.
"Dress Like the WAGS" is designed to show our customers how to take high street fashions and, with the clever use of bags, belts, shoes and jewellery, create different looks for different occasions without picking up a designer price tag.

The event will take place on Saturday 3rd July (Quarter Finals Day) and we will be holding hourly shows on our malls. In between the shows we have live music from a young and very talented Jemma Johnson who has recently reached the semi-finals of the national "Live & Unsigned" talent competition. Jemma lives locally in Stafford and is definitely destined for a terrific future in music.

We also have free consultations by colour and style experts 'Fashion Dream' as well as make-up makeovers by the Body Shop at Home team.

Our host for the day is Tim Wedgwood, a presenter with BBC Radio Stoke and the event is kindly sponsored by the Express & Star newspapers. All proceeds from the day will be in support of The Donna Louise Children's Hospice.
